Harlan Redgen & Phillip Matheison, BIA sessional staff members and principals of Redgen Matheison, have recently been featured in The Australian newspaper’s Wish List magazine describing one of his latest projects:
“There were many decisions made in the dead of the night when Sydney architect Harlan Redgen was designing and building a house in Balmoral Beach for his client Cameron MacDonald. Sometimes Redgen would wake up in the small hours, thinking about the 80 different drawings he had done for the front door or MacDonald would call him from overseas at 2am with an idea — perhaps the 40th — for the layout of the fireplace. This process went on for over three years and it is clear this pair didn’t believe they were just building another house; they were creating a piece of art.”
Tom Bunting (B. Interior Architecture 2007) also works for Redgen Matheison and has taught in the BIA program.
