Free Lecture @ UTS: “Gesture. Shape. Technique of Charlotte Perriand: An Avant-Garde Woman” – 16 Sept
Registration is now open for the one-off design lecture by Pernette Perriand-Barsac and Jacques Barsac at University of Technology on 16th Septemeber.
Coinciding with the Charlotte Perriand exhibition at Cult’s Melbourne and Sydney showroom, her daughter Pernette Perriand-Barsac will give a design lecture at UTS to reflect on her mother’s oevre and design legacy on 16 September, 2015.
For over a quarter of a century, Pernette Perriand-Barsac worked alongside her mother as her personal assistance. Since her mother’s passing Pernette and her husband, Jacques Barsac, have dedicated themselves to keeping the legacy of Charlotte Periand alive through curating exhibitions, authoring books and launching new design collaborations.
During their first visit to Australia Pernette Perriand-Barsac will present the design principles of Charlotte Perriand to the Australian architect and design community under the topic “Gesture. Shape. Technique of Charlotte Perriand: An Avant-Garde Woman”. The design lecture is moderated by Cathy Lockhart, Lecturer of Industrial Design.
This lecture is a free, but ticketed event, with limited capacity, so hurry up and register here.
